Hyderabad has many parks to its credit where the people of the capital can relax themselves.
Public
Gardens:
The 6th Asifjah constructed Bagh-E-Aam for the
entertainment of the people of Hyderabad. This is in the midst of the
city. It is a very big garden with all sorts of flowering plants.
Salarjung gave an advise to the emperor to take the place from Rajah
Balakrishna. In 1864 A.D.the Nizam took the place from the Rajah and
made into big gardens. It has three entrances from three sides. The
gates are magnificent. Now in these gardens we see the Legislative
Assembly of Andhra Pradesh, The museum of State Government, Balabhavan-
a building especially for the entertainment of children, health
exhibition, Jubilee hall where important meetings are held.
The
Jubilee Hall is very important because the 7th Nawab used
to receive presents from his people in this hall every year on his
birthday. We find a bungalow of iron here. Adjacent to it there is a
beautiful masjid. The Nizam used to pray every Friday in this masjid.
The Legislative Assembly building is constructed in the Indo-saxonic style. Ravindrabharati, the stadium for cultural programs is situated very nearby. In 1966, in memory of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawahar Bala Bhavan is constructed. Children are given training here in education, and fine arts. It has a good library, literary club, and training center for children in all the fine arts including music, dance, and photography with all the facilities.
